The more you log your clean commutes, the greater your chances of winning the monthly drawings. How do I get started?
- Create your online profile. Be sure to include your correct email address, as we will use it to notify you if you've won a Commuter Prize. Registering also makes you eligible, if you choose, to receive a list of potential carpool partners through RideSmart, the free regional ridematch service.
- Start logging your commute! You must complete the Daily Commute Log to be eligible for prizes. You can log daily or weekly, as the log form provides a seven-day window for entering your commute habits.
- Save the login page to your Favorites or create a link to your desktop for easy access.
- Participants will be eligible for prize drawings for $25 and $100 gift cards. Good luck!
How many $25 gift cards are given out each month?
Your chances are much better than winning the lottery! Presently, 1-in-20 participants in Commuter Rewards win a $25 gift card each month. By using a commute alternative just one time, you register for a chance to win. Since winners are randomly drawn from the total clean commute logs received each month, a person who carpools 20 times a month is 20 times more likely to win than a person who carpooled just once. Increase your clean commuting and increase your chances of winning.
How often are Spotlight Awards given out and how do you win?
Spotlight Awards, which include a certificate of recognition and a $100 gift card, are given out periodically throughout the year. Spotlight Awards reward commuters who consistently show their commitment by logging in their clean commutes. Examples of Spotlight Awards include:
Best Reporter– Most commutes reported (including drive alone trips)
Transit Champion– Most commutes by transit
Telework Champion– Most telework days
Carpool Champion– Most commutes by carpool
Vanpool Champion– Most commutes by vanpool
Bike Champion– Most commutes by bicycle
Walk Champion– Most commutes on foot
Yellow Jersey– Most miles traveled by a bicycle commuter (commute trips only)
Marathon Man (or Woman)– Most miles on foot (commute trips only)
Healthy Commuter– Most bicycle and walk commutes (combined)
Most Improved Commuter– Greatest increase in clean commutes
Most Versatile Commuter– Greatest range of commuting types (carpool, transit, telework, etc.)
